Linsey Newton

Linsey came to Michigan State University as an undergraduate to study Plant Biology and Horticulture. After graduating, she remained at MSU and earned her Master’s degree studying the effects of temperature and growth regulators on orchid flowering. She then worked for several years in a lab studying the genetic control of the circadian clock in plants and algae. Linsey is currently working in the maize genetics lab at MSU as a lab manager and field technician. In her spare time, Linsey loves to spoil her nieces and nephews, garden, and spend time outside.
