Brandon is a rotating PhD student in the Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biotechnology program at MSU. He received his B.S. in Biology from Humboldt State University in 2017. After graduation he helped grow several start-up cannabis companies in Northern California, specializing in essential oil extraction and purification. He is broadly interested in leveraging advances in data-science and genetic technologies to advance crop improvement strategies.
